Water level in Mangla dam starts rising

The water level in Mangla dam has started rising swiftly due to rapid melting of glaciers at the upper reaching of the areas. The water level in the dam rose up to 1,149.45 feet on Sunday against the dead level of 1,040.00 feet. According to expert, the rising of water level would hopefully lead to combating the issue of the load shedding being faced by the country. The inflow of water in Mangla dam on Sunday was over 63,000 cusecs against the simultaneous discharge of 20,000 cusecs of water.
