Nullahs of rivers Chenab, Ravi may attain high flood

The Flood Forecasting Centre, Lahore, has warned that due to moderate to heavy falls in the catchment areas of the rivers, nullahs of rivers Chenab and Ravi may attain medium to high flood situation on Tuesday. These nullahs flow in the districts of Sialkot, Gujrat, Narowal, Gujranwala, Lahore and Sheikhupura before they fall in the two rivers. 

About the overall flood situation, the FFC in its report on Monday said that river Kabul at Nowshera was in low flood, while all other major rivers were flowing normally. However in view of the current water flows in the rivers and monsoon rains, Indus river may attain the state of low flood at Tarbela, river Kabul at Nowshera, and river Chenab low-medium flood situation at Marala, Khanki.
